Danielle's Story
Danielle*, a 65-year-old, avid gardener, came to me seeking understanding around some health issues she had be struggling to find solutions for elsewhere. During our session, she mentioned that she had an extreme aversion to drinking water. The mere thought of it made her cringe. Instead, she relied on tea and cordial, which left her dehydrated and in far from optimal health.
As we delved into this issue, I was guided to an incident from Danielle's early childhood. We were called to explore a moment when her mother became extremely upset during a family outing because Danielle needed her nappy changed. In her distress at being perceived as a burden, her young mind
made a connection between drinking water and the discomfort of being wet and in trouble. A connection that had been creating the aversion to water ever since.
Once we identified this connection, we were able to recalibrate Danielle's belief, and the programming she'd built around it.
Since then, she has been able to effortlessly drink water.
And because this addressed one of her main issues at its core, she had an overall improvement in her well-being, and other solutions were quick to follow. She is now much healthier and is back in the garden she loves.
